This well water treatment option is an upgraded version of the very popular point-of-entry Aquasana Rhino EQ-300 Whole House filter. The version is specifically designed for well water filtering in mind. It performs the same functions as the Rhino EQ-300, but in addition, it effectively performs well water treatment.
The EQ-300-85 uses KDF 85 medium to remove higher concentrations of iron and hydrogen sulfide that come from well water sources. It is also effective in controlling the build-up of scale in pipes, and also in controlling bacteria and algae in your water. The main filter needs replacement every 3 years while the pre-filter needs to be replaced once every 1 – 3 months
